Gil Schroeder Sod Sales also promotes hometown House Springs.
Warm months do not halt summer sod projects
Even though temperatures may hit triple digits during the summer, lawns can still be a brilliant green with some fresh sod in place.
“You just have to be mindful and aware of the watering and care instructions for it to be able sustain itself and thrive,” said Trish Petrus, the officer manager at Gil Schroeder Sod Sales in House Springs.
Gil Schroeder, which has been in business since 1980 at 4600 Byrnesville Road, provides helpful instructions on how to care for a lawn, Petrus said.
“For every delivery for a client, we provide watering instructions and tips on a three-fold, two-sided watering pamphlet on the details on how to maintain it and care for it,” she said.
Gil Schroeder Sod Sales offers seed sales, sod delivery and installation as well as pick-up orders of fresh-cut sod.
It serves customers in Jefferson, St. Louis, St. Charles and Franklin counties.
Consultations are available by phone at 636-274-3555 or 636-285-9989. The company’s website, gilschroedersodsales.com, also offers tips on maintenance, a full price list and resources for troubleshooting and general lawn care questions.
The business will be recognized this year for its continued success.
“Each year, the MU Extension Center in Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Farm Bureau selects a local farm family as the Farm Family of the Year to represent Jefferson County at the Missouri State Fair, we are proud to announce Gil Schroeder Sod Sales was chosen for the 2022 Farm Family of the Year,” Petrus said. “We are looking forward to accepting this award in August at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.”
