Natural resource: Life experience, age equip Kurtz to serve both ends of spectrum
Real estate agent Ron Kurtz with Ron Kurtz Realty Executives Premiere says he can work with any buyer or seller, but loves working with seniors and with first-time homebuyers.
“When you’re a first-time homebuyer, there’s a lot of anxiety. There are a lot of things you get worried about, emotions sometimes kick in,” he said.
“I feel I’m in a great position to be a positive influence on helping to keep emotions in check, and to help them to be aware of the things they really need to look for, because they don’t know.”
Kurtz said buying a first home can be stressful, but he works hard to take away that stress.
“I truly enjoy taking them from the very first meeting and just slowly and calmly walking them through the process,” he said.
“I assure them that we’re going to take it one step at a time and make it as painless a process as possible.
“When they get to the end of it, it’s the joy it should be.”
Kurtz, who is 63, said he can understand a senior client’s point of view.
“Because I may be a little older than a lot of the average realtors, I very naturally work well with seniors. Maybe they’re at a time where they need to downsize, or maybe they’re thinking about selling their home and moving into assisted living,” he said.
Kurtz said his life experience benefits first-time buyers.
