Jones said inventory is low, so homes sell quickly. She cautions buyers not to get caught up in a buying frenzy that can result when supply is scarce.

“We work with buyers to show the comparables in the neighborhood,” she said. “That way they can negotiate realistically and not end up upside down. People buying a home to flip it in five years need to be careful, but most people are buying a home to live in for years to come. They should be all right.”
