Passiglia Landscape, Nursery and Garden Center has beautified landscapes around the area since 1950.
Three generations of the Passiglia family have guided the plant nursery that started on Broadway in St. Louis before moving to west St. Louis County and then its current home at 1855 Hwy. 109 in Wildwood, and a fourth generation is ready to continue the company’s legacy of offering plants, materials and landscaping services, owner Chris Passiglia said.
“Our mission is to provide our customers with the highest-quality material that is displayed and maintained meticulously by passionate horticulturally minded individuals, who truly care about the customers’ success and are mindful of their investment and to provide our landscape clients with innovative designs and professional services using quality products,” Passiglia said. “We are committed to each individual client with attention to detail, timely communication and superior customer service. Passiglia and his brothers moved the business to its current 10-acre location in 1990, and that is when they added the landscape design and installation part of the company.
Chris Passiglia said his son, Cameron, who has worked in the landscape and retail divisions for five years, is poised to continue the family tradition.
The Passiglia staff is committed to helping train and teach clients, customers and staff members through numerous workshops, special events and festivals throughout the year, and the company started a podcast, “To the Root,” hosted by manager and buyer Julie Straatmann and featuring guests who offer tips.
