As Mueller Furniture & Mattress, 324 S. Main St., in De Soto, approaches its 99th anniversary in January, store manager Andrea Doyen-Patterson said she is seeing many homeowners embrace warmth, pattern and texture in their decor.
“Plaids and florals are back, and wood tones are really making a return,” she said. “People still love their grays and neutrals, but now they’re layering them with color and natural finishes to make rooms feel more inviting and lived-in.”
Doyen-Patterson said those trends are easy to notice in the store’s showroom, where La-Z-Boy, England, Justice, Best, Vaughan-Bassett and UltraComfort, all “Made in America” brands, fill the floors.
“We’ve got so much in stock right now,” she said. “From solid wood bedroom sets to reclining sectionals, lift chairs, and custom-upholstered sofas, there’s something for every room and every style.”
Doyen-Patterson said the family-owned-and-operated store has built its reputation on quality products, friendly service and attention to detail.
“We’ve been helping families furnish their homes for nearly a century,” she said. “That’s something we’re really proud of.”
Doyen-Patterson believes customers appreciate the store’s free local delivery within 20 miles and the peace of mind that comes from shopping local.
