This year will be an exciting one for Mueller Electric Furniture and Bedding, 324 S. Main St., in De Soto.
“La-Z-Boy chose Mueller’s to be a Branded Space, which was very flattering and exciting for our store and our town,” said store manager Andrea Doyen-Patterson. “We will be able to offer all models and styles of sofas, chairs, recliners and even their brands of occasional tables. We will also have a new ‘La-Z-Boy’ look in our store.”
Shoppers should see the changes this summer or early fall.
Doyen-Patterson said La-Z-Boy was the first line of furniture brought into the store when original owner Slim Mueller added furniture.
“We have carried La-Z-Boy since 1976,” she said. “Not everyone thinks of a small town for a brand like La-Z-Boy, but we have filled our store with their products for decades, and now we will look more the part. We did have to dedicate 3,500 square feet of our store space for this remodel, but it will look amazing and really stand out once it’s complete.”
Doyen-Patterson said the store sells more La-Z-Boy products than any other brand and always offers lower prices than the big chain stores.
The store also carries Legacy, Justice, BarcaLounger, Best, England, Ashley, Bassett, Vaughan Bassett, Liberty, Riverside and UltraComfort products.
This year the family-owned store will celebrate its 97th year. Mary Lee Doyen and Gary Doyen own the store. Employees include Keith Recar, Carrie Bone, Zach Maupin and Stephanie McCullough.
Doyen-Patterson is proud of the customer service the store staff provides. The store offers free delivery, setup and removal of old furniture within a 30-mile radius.
