Rick Hinkson, president of Eureka Contracting and Roofing, said he enjoys bumping into fellow veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces during the course of his workday.
“I do run into veterans,” Hinkson said. “I was just at a job Friday and this guy said, ‘The reason I hired you was you’re a veteran.’ He was Army. I was Navy.”
His business, 128 Virginia Ave., Eureka, started in August 2012.
“We do roofing, siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, windows, doors and decks,” he said.
Eureka Contracting and Roofing works for both residential and commercial customers.
Hinkson recommends roof inspections twice a year in spring and winter, although special situations such as hailstorms, may call for immediate response.
“With the recent hailstorms, we are seeing a lot of roofs that need to be replaced, as well as siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, windows and doors,” he said. “Hail can cause physical damage to the roof and siding. People are concerned about the physical damage it causes.”
The company’s inspections are free.
He said potential clients should have confidence in Eureka Contracting and Roofing.
“We are local and are licensed and insured to protect your property,” Hinkson said. “We have $1 million in liability, $1 million in workmen’s comp and $2 million aggregate, as well.
“We have a five-star online rating and an A-plus rating with the BBB (Better Business Bureau),” he said.
