Midwest BankCentre offers loans for home improvements

Because of the tight real estate market, many people are deciding to stay put and fix up their homes, while others have their eye on the market and want to boost the value of their properties in the hopes of selling them, said Cristy Heuer, assistant vice president of Midwest BankCentre in Imperial

“We are seeing a trend with homeowners investing in their homes, from simple repairs to dream renovations,” she said.

Heuer said Midwest BankCentre can help people finance those improvements with home equity line of credit loans.

“The rates right now are great,” she said. “They’re really low. It’s a really good time to tap into your home’s appreciated value. And because of the very low interest rates, you’ll enjoy low repayments.”

Heuer said Midwest BankCentre makes its home equity loans especially attractive.

“The great thing is that with us, there are no closing costs, no fees,” she said. “We pay for the appraisal, and the title work. We pay for it all.”

The Imperial branch, at 1030 Main St., is one of 17 Midwest BankCentre full-service offices in the St. Louis region.

Heuer said it’s important to note that Midwest BankCentre, which was founded in 1906, retains strong roots in the area.

“At Midwest BankCentre, $95 out of every $100 deposited locally stays in the St. Louis region to assist St. Louis-area businesses and families, and every dollar circulates six times throughout the regional economy,” she said.

“That activity supports local people and businesses, who then support other local employers. Midwest BankCentre completes the cycle by issuing credit and making loans to people and businesses, keeping those funds within the community.”

In addition to the Imperial office, Midwest BankCentre also has local branches in Arnold, Crystal City and De Soto.
