03-02 St. Louis Estate Buyers

Antiques and other items that can be found at St. Louis Estate Buyers.

If you enjoy shopping for antiques and collectibles, St. Louis Estate Buyers offers a mix of interesting items that appeal to all ages. Its ever-changing inventory guarantees a fun shopping experience at either of its locations – 43 South County Center Way and 178 West County Center, both in St. Louis County.

“Although we specialize in antiques and collectibles, we have a mish-mash of items that includes jewelry, artwork and curiosities,” owner Maria Lambert said. “We opened the South County Center store for Christmas 2019, and it was so well-received, we stayed open. Then, in late 2020, we expanded to West County Center to accommodate more things from our 10,000-square-foot warehouse.”

Before opening the retail stores, Lambert sold items that she procured at estate sales at flea markets and online. As her hobby grew into a successful business, Lambert quit her job as a computer programmer in 2017.

“We buy entire estates, collections and single items, and people can bring things to the store every day,” Lambert said. “We have a jewelry-buying event the last weekend of every month at the West County store.”

St. Louis Estate Buyers buys out estates, holds traditional estate auctions, appraisals and online estate sales. The majority of estate sales are online, Lambert said, and the enthusiasm of an expanded audience can increase winning bids by 30 to 50 percent.

“In an estate buyout, we buy all the personal property of an estate for a fixed amount,” Lambert said. “This allows the estate to be liquidated immediately, and we empty the house in three to five days, which means it can go on the market quicker.”
