Hopkins Floor Co., at 2323 Hwy. 67 south of Festus, has professional flooring experts you can’t find at big box stores, owner Nick Hopkins said.
With more than six decades in business, the family-owned store offers countertops, cabinets and flooring including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile and rugs. The store carries the top flooring brands like Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, Coretec Floors, Mannington and Mohawk.
Hopkins said they stock a huge amount of carpet while most stores don’t anymore.
“We carry a variety of carpets to suit any need or budget,” he said. “Right now, the industry is focused on pet-friendly carpet and hard surface flooring, including products from Shaw like Pet Perfect. Carpet use is trending up due to advances in stain resistance and ease of pet hair removal.”
Pet Perfect is marketed as a “ultra durable” and easy to clean made-in-the-USA carpet. It is designed to handle everyday accidents and wear-and-tear that can harm traditional flooring.
The company also carries a huge stock of waterproof laminate.
“New styles (of flooring) are arriving weekly, and we have spring sale pricing on the entire store,” Hopkins said.
He said the company has 12 employees and 10 installers to provide professional installation services.
“We are consistently focused on bringing to our customer the best flooring products and services,” Hopkins said. “We are here to help the consumer get the best flooring product for the long term.”
Hopkins said his company treats customers like family and employees work closely with customers to ensure their flooring needs are met.
