Wideman brings passion to every client
Helping people buy and sell homes may be her job, but Vicki Wideman with Heartland Realty said it does not feel that way.
“I just love to help buyers or sellers,” she said. “I love working here. I am close to home. I love what I do. I probably should have retired years ago, but I have not simply because I do enjoy what I do. I don’t have any plans to retire anytime soon.”
Wideman said her clients get her 23 years of experience plus the expertise of the 15 other real estate agents at Heartland Realty, 50 Jefferson Square, De Soto.
She said she can help with any type of real estate deal, but she particularly loves to help residential sellers and buyers.
“I love when I find the right home for people who are looking and I also get the same thrill out of having someone’s house on the market and bringing them a contract and taking it to the finish line,” she said. “It’s always a good feeling to be able to sell someone’s house for them.”

“I would love for people to come in and see me,” she said. “The inventory is really low right now. If anyone is even contemplating selling their house, I would encourage them to come in and sit down with me and at least discuss what their possibilities are because right now we have more buyers than we have properties to sell.”
She said while the market has cooled off a bit, buyers are still looking.
“It is still a good market to sell your house, if anyone is even remotely thinking about it,” Wideman said.
Wideman said her main territory is Jefferson County.
