Community is the focus for Hancock Mortgage Partners
Mary Catherine Baragary, senior mortgage banker and branch manager at Hancock Mortgage Partners LLC, said the company’s Festus office focuses on community by promoting small business, among other causes.
“I’ve been doing quite a lot to help small business in Jefferson County,” she said. “I started a Facebook group for supporting Jefferson County small businesses, Masterminds United. With Masterminds United, we do an event once a month at Russell House in Hillsboro. Each month at Masterminds United we spotlight a local nonprofit organization.
“We help entrepreneurs grow their businesses through networking. We did Jeffco Bingo twice this year, where you take a selfie in front of a business, then submit a bingo card that goes with it for a prize drawing. We try to get business for businesses through this exposure.”
The Festus office, 114 E. Main St., supports the community in other ways, Baragary said.
“We help with the movie night at Influence Church on Festus Main Street,” she said. “The next one is ‘Hocus Pocus’ on Oct. 29 at the church. I’ve been a sponsor for Twin City Little League. I’ve also supported Our Lady School with their upcoming auction. I’ve sponsored the Our Lady and Pony Bird golf tournaments.”
The better the community’s stability, the better it is for Hancock Mortgage Partners, Baragary said.
“We’re just here to help our community flourish through home loans and supporting the community any way we can,” she said.
