Smooth, quick: Baragary says know-how leads to faster closing date
Anyone looking for a quicker closing time on a sale should turn to her, says branch manager Mary Catherine Baragary at the Festus location of Hancock Mortgage Partners, LLC.
“The lending part of purchasing a home can be kind of a pain in the butt,” she said.
“There’s a lot of documents and things that are required now and it can take a long time, but Hancock has some of the fastest turnaround times in the industry.”
Baragary, who has 11 years’ experience in the lending industry, said her average turnout time is less than 30 days, but has seen other companies take three months or longer.
“We make the process as smooth and as quick as I think we can,” she said.
Baragary said with so many houses on the market getting so many offers and selling fast, she offers a contract closing assurance program to help buyers.
“Instead of just a pre-approval, I take their file and I submit their file to underwriting prior to them going under contract.
“Then if the underwriter approves their file, we will provide them a contract closing assurance certificate, which states that their income assets and credit have been reviewed and approved by underwriting,” she said.
“If for some reason we weren’t able to close on their loan due to an oversight on our part, we would give them two times their earnest money up to $15,000 back.”

“Community involvement is pretty big for me and Hancock,” she said.
