Granite is one of the most popular materials for kitchen and bath counters, backsplashes, fireplace surrounds and hearths and other uses, indoors and out.
Granite Pros in Imperial, which opened in March, has an energetic team helping homeowners and businesses create custom, high-quality spaces. The showroom is at 5236 Hwy. 61-67.
“We do new homes. We do remodels in both residential and commercial,” project manager Jamie Brown said. “The business is new, but we all have a lot of years of experience in the industry.”
Granite Pros carries a variety of natural granite, which is highly heat-resistant. It also stocks man-made quartz products, which offer superior stain resistance and comes in a range of colors.
“Granite has a lot of variation, and quartz has a more solid, consistent look,” Brown said. “Which one you choose comes down to personal style, and to what works best for your project. Right now, what’s popular is a lot of light colors, whites and grays. But black may be the next trend.”
Brown said she meets with potential customers by appointment.
“They can bring pictures, inspiration photos, cabinet color, the tile they want to match,” she said. “I ask them questions to help narrow down what will best suit their project and their life. We have hundreds of colors and styles to choose from.”
The company has contacts with suppliers across the region, but most of its pieces are produced in-house.
“We fabricate our product at our own facility,” Brown said. “That means shorter turnaround times, more flexibility in the design process and typically lower cost.”
Granite Pros also offers professional installation.
