High quality and low pressure – that’s what the Bahr family aims to deliver in its two local businesses: The Nest Furniture and Mattress at 2165 W. Osage in Pacific and EZMove Storage at 601 Howerton Lane in Eureka.
Owner Terry Bahr, 43, said customers coming into The Nest typically are impressed with the prices.
“They say they also like how we didn’t follow them around the store,” he said. “My family has been in the furniture business 40 years, and we have a reputation for being easy to deal with.”
The four-year-old store features furniture brands like Ashley and Flexsteel and mattresses from Tempur-pedic and Sealy, as well as a wide assortment of dining sets, recliners, rugs, lamps and decor.
“We do in-house delivery,” Bahr said. “If it’s an item in stock, typically you get it within two days, sometimes even the same day. If we have to order, it takes about a week, depending on circumstances.”

EZMove opened in late 2023 and offers 300-plus units, ranging in size from 5-by-10 feet up to 11-by-35 feet. Some units have double access, with doors on both ends.
“It’s very easy access and competitive pricing,” Bahr said. “We lock in rates for a year. Lots of customers call us saying the place they’re at now, the rates are going up every month. The last time we did a rate increase, it had been seven years.”
EZMove boasts strong security to safeguard everything from household belongings and office items to boats and cars, with a gated entry, ample lighting and monitored video surveillance. It has sister locations in Pacific, Union, Washington and Columbia.
