More rooms, more decor, more beautiful home
Looking to add some down-home warmth to your home? Check out Farmhouse Style Boutique in Festus.
The store, 101 Main St., offers a wide variety of furniture, decor and accessories.
Manager Abbey Partney said the family-owned business opened in November 2020 in a smaller space and expanded to its current location in May 2021.
“Now that we’ve expanded here,” she said, “we’ve had several separate rooms where we can switch out the decor and have different lifestyle settings, and now we have even more of them toward the back. Also, we added another staff member, Haley.”
The building, at Main and Adams streets, was the longtime headquarters of a local bank, and former customers and employees often come in to reminisce.
“We still have that happening. It’s awesome,” Partney said.
The store is constantly turning over inventory.
“We get small shipments of new stuff daily, and bigger merchandise like furniture once a week,” Partney said. “So, if you haven’t been in in the last couple of weeks, we encourage people to come in and browse.”
Partney said her customers get a very different experience from buying online or at large retailers.
“We’re cheaper, and we definitely try to treat our customers more like family,” she said. “That’s something you won’t get from a bigger, more impersonal place.”
Farmhouse Style Boutique also offers staging services for realtors and home sellers.
“We’ve been doing that a lot more recently,” Partney said. “The (housing) market has definitely helped.”
Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
Staff can do consultations on a walk-in basis, but Partney said an appointment can ensure the customer will have the staff member’s undivided attention.
