Eureka Contracting & Roofing has worked on some notable local roofs, including those at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The River at Eureka church and Eureka Fire Protection District Station 3, said Rick Hinkson, Eureka Contracting’s owner.
The company is at 128 South Virginia Ave.
“We’ve done all the big roofs in Eureka,” he said.
In addition to roof repair and replacements, Eureka Contracting provides hail and wind damage repairs, siding installation, commercial roof coating, painting and building maintenance.
Hinkson, a Navy veteran, said his company often gives back to the community.
“We’re involved very much in the community,” Hinkson said. “We sponsor just about every sports team in Pacific and Eureka.”
Hinkson’s company sponsors the Harvest Moon Run held every fall, which benefits area food pantries. This year the run brought in more than 2,500 nonperishable food items for pantries in Eureka, Pacific, High Ridge and Cedar Hill.
Hinkson said there’s never a bad time to have a roof inspected, and his company offers free roof inspections and consultations.
“We can still replace roofs during the winter, but the temperatures have to be 34 degrees and rising,” Hinkson said. “You want your shingles to seal down and it takes about 34 degrees on a sunny day for them to seal.”
Hinkson said now is a good time to contact Eureka Contracting to develop a budget for a roofing project and get on the company’s waiting list. Due to the inclement weather, his team has a two- to three-week wait for roof repairs.
“We’ve got most of the material in stock right now,” Hinkson said. “We work all year round, but the weather has backed us up a bit.”
Eureka Contracting’s office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The company may be reached by calling 636-938-7663.
