Eureka Contracting and Roofing, 128 S. Virginia Ave., has been operating for a decade.
This is a great time of year to have your roof inspected, said Rick Hinkson, owner of Eureka Contracting and Roofing, 128 S. Virginia Ave.
Hinkson said winter can take a toll on the top of homes and businesses.
“When you have freezing and thawing and cold weather followed by warm, things get loosened up, like flashing around chimneys,” he said. “You get leaves and debris collecting up. This is a good time to get those issues taken care of.”
Hinkson recommends twice-annual roof inspections.
“In the early spring and again in the fall, before winter sets in,” he said. “It’s especially important to check roofs before rain and hail season.”
Eureka Contracting, which marks its 11th year in business this August, offers free, no-obligation roof inspections for both residential and commercial customers and will take jobs within 40 miles of Eureka. It has maintained an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau and a five-star online rating.
After the inspection, the company provides a report with photos at no charge, usually within 48 hours.
“We shoot for 24 hours, but 48 hours gives us a little cushion,” said Hinkson, a U.S. Navy veteran.
For business owners with a flat roof or metal roof, Eureka Contracting offers an optional coating that can be applied for a fraction of the cost of a roof replacement. The coating is a white silicone with 86 percent reflectivity, which keeps the building cooler in warm weather and adds life to the roof.
Hinkson said unlike other segments of the building industry, roofing has not been particularly hampered by supply-side issues.
“We have had no trouble getting materials,” he said.
The company installs commercial and residential roofing, gutters, siding, windows and also does painting.
