Those looking to rent in Festus have the opportunity to be the first to live in a unit at the West Village apartment complex.
Lorenzo Debrecht said his company, Debrecht Properties, has completed 48 of the 200-unit complex at 725 American Legion Drive in Festus. He said another 24 units are expected to be completed about every 30 days through the rest of the year.
“We are hoping to complete the project by the end of the year,” he said.
Debrecht said the rent for a one-bedroom, one-bath unit is $1,350 per month, and the rent for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit is $1,650 per month.
“These are brand-new buildings with high-quality products in all of them,” he said. “I think it is huge that someone will be the first tenant. Even if an apartment has been remodeled, it will not feel as new as these. When you walk into our apartments, it is truly brand new. No one has ever been in them or lived in there. Every single person gets a clean slate.”
Debrecht said each unit has full showers, full kitchens, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a washer and dryer in the unit.
“These are the highest-end apartments in Festus and possibly Jefferson County,” he said.
Debrecht said each building has multiple security cameras and requires a key-fob to enter.
He said the complex has a dog park, resort-style pool and 24-hour fitness center.
“The pool is amazing,” he said. “The fitness center is not a little gym. It is a 3,500-square-foot gym. It is a legit gym.”
