Consort Homes gives homebuyers plenty of options

Consort Homes, a home builder serving Eureka and other parts of the metropolitan area, offers new home purchasers many options, said Dawn Thurman, the company’s marketing manager.

“We are a production building company,” Thurman said. “We only build about 100 homes per year and we allow you to personalize your home. We treat our customers like family.

“We give the buyer lots of choices for their fixtures, their flooring, their cabinets. We offer optional floor plans and structural components for your floor plans.”

The company has been serving clients for 95 years, with its roots as The Jones Co. in 1927. The Chesterfield-based company became Consort Homes in 2005.

“We build energy-efficient homes,” Thurman said. “Our standard features are a step above the others. We build a home we would want to live in… and several of our team members do! Consort Homes also offers a universal design floor plan.

“We put a 93-percent efficient furnace in every one of our homes. That will cut down on fuel bills. We do closed-cell foam. That’s an insulation. We include energy-efficient plumbing fixtures. We do an electric 50-gallon water heater. We do architectural shingles.”

Many of today’s buyers also often seek work spaces in their new homes, she said.

“A lot of people focus on home offices, because so many are still working from home,” she said.

Thurman said she sees the real estate boom of the last few years continuing.

“Homes are in demand,” Thurman said. “There are not enough homes for the people needing them. It’s still a seller’s market.”

She said those seeking a new house should consider Consort Home’s reputation for quality.

“We are a hometown company and we take pride in the quality of workmanship in our homes,” Thurman said.
