Consort Homes is building new homes in Windswept Farms, a neighborhood in Eureka at Hwy. 109 and Hwy. W.

Consort Homes has new homes available right as the market is heating up again.

Dawn Thurman, marketing manager for Consort, said a two-story home and a ranch house are available in Windswept Farms, a 174-acre development at Hwy. 109 and Hwy. W in the Eureka area that’s nearing completion.

“It’s actually a great time to buy,” Thurman said. “Some people have been kind of waiting for the past couple of years and we think they’re going to start pulling the trigger and start purchasing homes.”

Thurman said the ranch-style home in Windswept Farms features 9-foot and 11-foot ceilings, energy-efficient light fixtures and a kitchen with quartz countertops.

The two-story home has 9-foot main floor ceilings, a gas fireplace and cabinets with crown molding.

According to the company’s website, the subdivision will include 557 homes, with a choice of two ranch layouts and one two-story model.

Thurman said there are plenty of sites still available for those looking to build.

“Now is a good time to start building,” she said. “A lot of people who were just sitting on (their old home) because the interest rates were a little bit higher or they thought prices were going to come down – they’re finally seeing that prices aren’t really going to come down because material prices are so high, our labor costs are still high. We’re a little bit more optimistic that we’re going to have good sales because those people are ready to move – they’ve been ready to move, and they don’t want to wait anymore.”

House hunters can visit the Windswept Farms display homes and sales office from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The office is located at 2043 Windswept Farms Drive.

“It’s a great community to be in,” Thurman said.
