Eureka Contracting and Roofing is a one-stop shop for local residents who need improvements completed at their homes.
Owner Rick Hinkson said commercial and residential roofing projects comprise most of the company’s work, but it also installs siding, windows and doors and can take care of residential roof coating and more.
“We’ve worked on Sacred Heart Church, the Lutheran senior center. We’ve done roofs on the River church, a couple of firehouses in town,” he said. “The majority of our work is residential. We also do apartments, townhouses, villas. We want to get in there and do the residential work.”
The vast majority of the building materials Eureka Contracting uses are made in America, something Hinkson, a Navy veteran, said is important to him.
“The majority of our shingle and single-ply materials are made here in the U.S.,” Hinkson said. “We’ve got to support America.”
Hinkson said service didn’t end when he retired from the Navy.
He serves on the board for the Harvest Moon Run, which he also participates in every year, and is the veteran chairman for the Eureka Pacific Elks Lodge. Eureka Contracting also sponsors a number of sports programs, as well as other extra-curricular activities, like drama club and local kindergarten graduations.
“I think it’s something that needs to get done; we just help,” Hinkson said.
He encourages local residents to reach out if they’re curious about upgrading their roofs or even just having Eureka Contracting and Roofing inspect their roofs.
“Give us a call. Let us check out your roof before the winter sets in,” he said. “If everyone around you is getting a new roof, now’s probably a good time.”
