Comfort Cabinetry and Design of De Soto works to alleviate the intimidating aspects of remodeling projects, owner Kristy Carder said.
She said the company helps clients through every aspect of reshaping or creating kitchens, bathrooms, closets, offices, fireplace surrounds and other spaces.
“We are happy to be involved in part or all of the project,” Carder said. “What sets us apart from the big box stores is you have my personal information. You can call my cell phone any time.”
Carder said many people say they don’t know where to start when it comes to remodeling a room or designing a space in a home, so Comfort Cabinetry, which offers free consultation, starts the process with a conversation.
“We will walk you through the entire process,” she said. “There are a lot of details that can be overwhelming, and we try to make it fun.”
Carder said Comfort Cabinetry tries not to overwhelm clients with options and asks them to look around to find ideas and try to figure out what design style is best for them.
After gathering measurements for a project, clients come to the showroom at 404 N. Main St. to review design options on a big screen color television, she said.
“They get a feel for what the space is going to look like before any work is done,” she added.
Carder said she prides herself on saying that when clients hire Comfort Cabinetry, they always know who they can go to with any questions about the project.
“It can be overwhelming and scary, and being able to answer clients’ questions right away lets them know everything is taken care of,” Carder said. “That is what we provide.”
