This year’s drought has been good for Coleman’s Tree Service.
“It has helped our business,” owner Ernie Coleman said. “We’re getting a lot of calls to take down dead trees, trim off dead wood – anything having to do with trees.”
Coleman said the dry conditions also have played havoc with hedges and other shrubbery.
“We can trim them back, or take them out if we need to,” he said.
Coleman said his business will address any tree or landscaping problem, including those that have not weathered a storm well.
“They can blow down or fall down,” he said. “They can do damage to buildings. We can deal with that.”
The business also offers some landscaping services, including developing a landscaping plan, removing stumps and planting new trees, shrubbery and flowers.
“We also do trimming,” Coleman said. “We clear land.”
He said he has worked for more than 25 years in the business.
Coleman’s Tree Service is available year-round, tackling challenges from ice and snowstorms in winter and thunderstorms in summer, as well as tree damage from high winds that can happen at any time of the year.
Even though Coleman’s Tree Service is based in Potosi, he said he is prepared to take on jobs over a wide area, accepting work from Ste. Genevieve County, through Jefferson County and into St. Louis County and Wildwood.
“We offer discounts for senior citizens,” Coleman said. “That’s people who are retired or over 65.”
