Amanda Mange
Amanda Mange has lived her life in real estate industry
Amanda Mange, a licensed Realtor and broker for Coldwell Banker Realty Gundaker, 650 S. Truman Blvd., Festus, figures she was born into the real estate industry.
“I got my license in 2003,” said Mange, 48, of Hillsboro. “People ask me what my job was in a past life, but my father was a builder, and I worked for him. He built apartments in south St. Louis, and I was his property manager. When he passed away, I went for my license. I’ve always worked in real estate. I think I was born into it.”
Mange said, for her, it’s not all about business.
“I really like making relationships with my clients, and helping them into their home,” she said. “I like getting to know them. It’s more about that than the dollar signs. For a month or so, I’m kind of like a therapist for some of them.”
She said that customer service has led to many referrals.
“I just closed on a house for the son of the couple who I sold my first home to in 2003,” she said. “He was 10 years old when that happened. That made me really happy, that I’ve had a 20-year relationship with his family.”
Mange recently won the Excellence in Client Service Award from homes.com.
“That’s based on Google ratings,” she said. “I always encourage people to give me good ratings if they feel I’ve given them excellent service.”
Mange is active in the community. She is president of the Hillsboro Lions Club (and was that group’s Lion of the Year in 2021), is on the board of Pony Bird Inc. and was elected president for two years (2020 and 2021) of the Southern Gateway Association of Realtors.
