Brad Merritt, branch manager at Coldwell Banker Realty Gundaker Metro South Office in Festus, said he wants to help real estate agents thrive in a volatile market.
Merritt is a national-level coach with 25 years of experience. He said the industry is undergoing unprecedented changes as agents are dealing with issues such as low inventory and high interest rates.
“I think there are a lot of agents out there who are afraid,” Merritt said. “There are a lot of agents who are watching their business dwindle, and they don’t really know what to do about it. The fear of the future doesn’t drive growth in the real estate business. My company, Coldwell Banker, has been very proactive about all the changes that are coming about in such a way that we are not only managing the change well, but we are growing in this environment.”
Merritt, who also is a national sales coach for Leaders Edge Training, said he offers free coaching consultations for any real estate agent.
“I describe what it looks like and takes to survive and grow in this industry and this market that we are experiencing now,” he said. “The biggest thing that helps my agents to grow is getting the systems in their business set up and functioning. That way they are not reinventing the wheel or seeing the rollercoaster of production.
“If you have systems in your business that you are able to do, no matter how busy you get, you take yourself off the rollercoaster,” he said. “Then you become more successful.”
