Backbone Home Furnishings, 20 Jefferson Square, in De Soto, offers home furnishings, decor and gifts. Established in October 2021 by husband and wife team Christian and Corin Roth, Backbone Home focuses on providing the community with quality, American-made products, Christian said.
“We support American-made products as much as we can,” he said. “And, we really appreciate all of our military and first responders. We’re focused on delivering quality products and offering customizable options to help our clients find what they need for their homes.”
De Soto is more than just a business location for the Roths; it’s a place they feel proud to be a part of, Christian said, adding that the two live in Festus and have family roots in De Soto.
“I grew up in Festus and my wife grew up in Hillsboro. We have family in De Soto, and we do have strong ties here,” he said.
Backbone originally operated in Festus but relocated in March to De Soto.
Christian said one of his favorite aspects of running Backbone Home Furnishings is working with the customers.
“We genuinely pour our hearts into the entire operation,” he said. “That type of personal interaction is really important to us, and I think our customers pick up on that.”
Christian also pointed out the store’s delivery team’s dedication.
“Our delivery team is amazing,” he said. “We get nothing but great feedback about those guys, and they go above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy in the store to the moment they get the final finished product in their home.”
