Backbone Home offers furnishings, furniture, gifts
Backbone Home will help make your house feel like your home, owner Corin Roth said.
“If you can help create (that) feeling for people, it is a special thing,” she said.
Corin said when her husband, co-owner Christian Roth, was in the Marine Corps, they learned the value of creating a home-like ambiance.
“We are a veteran-owned company and we really wanted to bring products, gifts and home goods to Festus and help the revitalization of Main Street,” she said.
Backbone Home has two locations in Festus, 420 W. Main Street and 220 E. Main Street.
She said the location on East Main Street, Backbone Home Gifts, Decor and More, opened in October 2021 and focuses on American-made gifts, home goods, and home furnishings.
She said the location on West Main Street, Backbone Home Furnishings, offers furniture and opened several months ago.
Roth said she hopes to have everything people are searching for, to decorate their own home or for gift-giving.
“I always feel like you’re running around, like on a wild goose chase, trying to find lamps, rugs, and furniture, and you’re going from place to place, all over tarnation to try to complete what you’re trying to get done,” she said. “We just really wanted it to be a place for a one-stop shop for anything.”
Roth said she likes it when customers bring in an inspiration photo and a budget. Those tools help her turn the room or home into something special.
“It’s really special when they come in and say, ‘I have this room and I just don’t know what to do with it,’” she said.
