B.F. Mahn & Sons in De Soto has a lot to offer customers, whether they’re longtime homeowners or are looking to build or buy a home.

Operations manager Courtney Mahn said the 155-year-old company can help with customers with whatever is needed to make sure their plumbing and heating and cooling systems are in good shape.

For those buying a home, B.F. Mahn & Sons can inspect plumbing to identify potential problems, such as leaks, old pipes and poor water pressure, Mahn said.

“Finding these things can help avoid costly repairs,” she said.

The business offers fixture upgrades, bathroom and kitchen remodels, professional drain cleaning and sewer line inspections, clearing and replacement. It offers garbage disposal and water heater services as well.

On the HVAC side, the company offer complete system inspections and preventative maintenance. It offers thermostat replacement and duct cleaning, and it can help improve indoor air quality and efficiency. If a customer needs an upgrade, B.F. Mahn & Sons has energy efficient models and a range of financing options, including a current special offer of 0 percent interest for 72 months on select models.

Mahn said B.F. Mahn & Sons is the oldest continuously operating business in Jefferson County. It evolved from a horse and carriage blacksmith shop to a plumbing and HVAC services business.

“We take pride in our history and in our commitment to delivering quality service,” she said.

The company, which is bonded and insured, has 30 employees.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
