It’s a good idea to get your roof inspected following the recent string of severe storms, said Eureka Contracting & Roofing office manager Stacy Huggins.
She said the company recommends people look at their roofs from the ground and then contact Eureka Contracting & Roofing to have one of its employees get onto the roof to better survey any potential damage.
“Having us come out and take a look at it after a storm, even if you don’t see damage, we may see something that allows us to mitigate any leaks or anything else,” she said.
Huggins said spring is one of the company’s busiest times of the year, not only because of spring storms, but also because roofs may be damaged by snow and ice during the winter.
“The storms start running through, and people are recovering from the winter weather. This winter was very icy, and we have seen a lot of ice-damage issues,” she said. “We just need to take a peek to make sure shingles weren’t damaged or came off the roof. It is better to call us and let us take a look at it.”
Owner Rick Hinkson, a Navy veteran, has operated Eureka Contracting & Roofing for more than 12 years.
The company’s office is at 128 South Virginia Ave. in Eureka, and it may be reached at 636-938-7663 or through its website at eurekacontracting.com.
“We have an open-door policy, and our customers are more than welcome to come in and out of our office,” Huggins said. “They get to know us personally, and they know where to come to. If there is something that needs to be addressed with a roof, they know where to find us. We are not going to disappear.”
