The real estate market is still hot and it’s still a good time to sell or buy a house, said Karla Fincher, managing broker of Main Key Realty.
“Inventory is low, there are tons of buyers out there and the buyers have already readjusted to the new interest rates,” she said. “It’s springtime. Everybody wants to get out and look at houses.”
She said the Festus office, 114 Main St., has 40 agents ready to help customers buy or sell.
“As a company, we are focused on customer service, growth, education and training,” she said. “We have a very highly trained group of Realtors who are knowledgeable in the current market because it changes so much.”
Fincher said her agents focus on being involved in the community to stay connected to the current market.
“Because our agents are very knowledgeable in our market, we make sure that (clients) understand why it’s so important to list your house at the right price,” she said. “To throw a house on the market either underpriced or overpriced is truly an injustice to our sellers. Days on the market are so important.”
Fincher said another top priority for sellers is to make sure whoever is interested in buying is truly a potential buyer.
“That is something that is at the top of the list for us when it comes to buyers is making sure they are pre-approved and they are looking in that price range,” she said.
Fincher said Main Key opened on Jan. 2, 2020, and has already expanded with an office in Cape Girardeau, which has nine agents.
