Eureka residents stunned by their higher water bills under Missouri American Water will realize a small reprieve on their next bill.

It took about 30 minutes to finalize a deal that has been two years in the making.

The sale of Eureka’s water and sewer systems is set to close – exactly two years after voters approved the sale.

The Eureka Board of Aldermen is expected to finalize the sale of the city’s water and sewer system to Missouri American Water Co.

Now, the real work begins.
