Woodson “Woody” Gates, 69, of St. Louis died Nov. 12, 2021, in Fenton. Born Nov. 24, 1951, in Evansville, Ind., Mr. Gates was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Cathleen (Huels) Gates; three children: Gregory (Kelly) Gates, Christopher (Jessica) Gates and Andrew (Cheryll) Gates; eight grandchildren: Makenzie (Luke), Kenzie (Brandon), Gracie, Drew, Aidan, Leigha, Connor and Bryar; two great-grandchildren: Noel and Henry; two siblings: LoEva Remington and Herbert (Marie) Gates; and many other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild: Jason; two siblings: George L. (Bonnie) Gates and John (Cheryl) Gates; an uncle: Woodson Daniel; and a brother-in-law: Sonny Remington.
