Wesley Alan Lown, 41, of Festus died Jan. 22, 2021, in Festus. Mr. Lown was a laborer. He was free-spirited and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an enthusiastic collector of rocks, fossils, arrowheads and artifacts he found on his many walks through the woods, along creeks and the banks of the Mississippi River. Born Aug. 17, 1979, in St. Louis, he was the son of Linda Kay (Beckemeyer) and Richard Alan Lown of Festus.
He also is survived by a son: August; two sisters: Briana (James) Feick of Festus and Michele (Bryant) Wetzel of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a grandmother: Bernardine (Kemper) Beckemeyer of Crystal City; two nephews: Cole (Michaela) Wetzel and Cameron Wetzel of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial gathering will be at a later date.
