Virgel Tow, 87, of House Springs died July 10, 2021, in House Springs. Mr. Tow enjoyed gardening, antiques and spending time with his family. He was also active in his church. Born Sept. 19, 1933, in Elkville, Ill., he was the son of the late Edward and Edith (Wisley) Tow.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Tow; three children: Kay (Rickey) Bedwell, Barbara (Steve) Morgan and Gina Tow; seven grandchildren: Joshua (Colleen), Jeremy, Merrick (Brooke), Jacob, Justin (Emmy), Joseph (Alexis) and Bryan (Emily); six great-grandchildren: Willow, Zackery, Haley, Emersyn, Lily and Ed; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by several siblings.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Seventh Day Remnant Church, 8420 Brackman Lane, Cedar Hill, 63016. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
