Patricia F. Peters, 79, of De Soto died Jan. 15, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Peters was a homemaker. She had worked as a school bus driver, worked at a day care center and worked in the cafeterias at St. Rose of Lima and Sunrise schools. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Circle 659. Born Jan. 31, 1942, in Parma, she was the daughter of the late Lester J. and Ruby R. (Denbow) Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Peters.
She is survived by three children: Angela (David) Masterson of Festus, Regina (John) Hasty of De Soto and Trisha (Paul) DeMarco of De Soto; two sisters: Shirley (Gene) Rauls of Marquand and Betty Rauls of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren: Joshua Hasty, Alicia Hasty, Cynthia (Danny) Bowers, Helen Struthers, Emma DeMarco, Dominic DeMarco, Andrew (Brittany) DeMarco, Samantha Richardson and Zach (Bailey) Rosen; and 13 great-grandchildren: Alex, Pamela, Stacy, Nathan, Hunter, Buck, Carolina, Adalynn, Kace, Ronan, Milo, Luna and Kingsly.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Kay Kemp, Ann Powell and Dorothy Whitman; three brothers: Junior Cook, Dale Cook, Franklin Cook; and a great-granddaughter: Isabella Grace Hasty.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Ed Boyer. Burial service is in Praise Temple Memorial Gardens in Fredericktown, officiated by Gene Rauls. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
