Kimberly C. Houston, 63, of Richwoods died Aug. 23, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Houston loved to crotchet, make jewelry and practice culinary arts. She loved spending time with her family, friends, her horses and her dog, Mister. She also had a strong devotion to her Cherokee Indian heritage. Born Oct. 24, 1959, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Irene E. ‘Renee’ (Boyer) and James Houston.
She is survived by four siblings: Tony (Candy) Houston, Tina (the late Anthony) Germanceri, Elaine Jaycox and Angie (Dale) Davis, all of De Soto; three stepsiblings: Christine Alden and Ronnie and Barry Lewis; as well as many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: James Houston and John White III.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the VFW Post 1831 hall, 1651 Veterans Drive, in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funer Home in De Soto.
