Theresa M. (Ledoux) Chitwood, 86, of St. Louis died Oct. 11, 2026, at Mattis Pointe Care Center. Mrs. Chitwood worked as a medical receptionist. Born March 7, 1940, in Drummondville, Québec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Simonne Lapierre and Ligouri Ledoux.
She was preceded in death by her husband: William K. Chitwood.
She is survived by four children: Michelle (Colin) Boswell of the United Kingdom, Scott (Mary) Chitwood of Pacific, Keith (Cherrie) Chitwood of Turtle Creek, Pa., and Renee (Bill) Brakemeyer of Festus; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Huey Born of St. Louis and Claude Ledoux of Massachusetts.
She also was preceded in death by two children: Brian Chitwood and Suzanne Chitwood; five siblings: Jeanne Ledoux, Dennis Ledoux, Jack Ledoux, Norman Ledoux and Gene Ledoux.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial. Burial will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
