Tara Huff, 64, of Arnold died Sept.14, 2026, in Chesterfield. Ms. Huff was a former legal secretary and homemaker. She loved caring for her dogs and cats. She was a Christian and an active animal rescuer and advocate for pit bulls, cats and turtles. Born Aug. 16, 1962, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Gloria Huff and Arthur Huff.
She is survived by her companion and best friend: Daryl; two children: Jason Huff of Ballwin and Crista (Scott) Lilly of Hazelwood; three grandchildren: Logan Huff of Ballwin, Mila Lilly and Mason Lilly of Hazelwood; two siblings: Tamara Huff and Charlotte Lewis; a sister-in-law: Emma Rollins; a niece: Amy Huff; four nephews: Brody Hall, Zac Lewis, Alex and Ron Lewis; a great-niece: Aubrey (Dustin) Vessel; a great-great-niece and nephew: Nash and Nollee; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sibling: Jerry Huff; her grandparents: Ralph and Clara Higdon and Laddie and Ella Huff; and her pet: Spanky.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Hope United Church of Christ, 100 S. Third St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Bruce. A dinner will follow the service.
