Samatha Louise “Sam” Spivey, 55, of Festus died Sept. 20, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Sam was proud of and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo and testing her luck with the slot machines. She was known for her loving and caring nature, her strength and her big heart. She was born on April 16, 1970.
She is survived by her mother: Gwen; her stepdad: Danny; a brother: Gerry; two sons: Sean and Jay; four grandchildren: Matthew, Reece, Gracelyn and Xavier; a sister-in-law: Kimberly; a cousin: Dena “Deaker”; two best friends: Angela “Angie” and Charlie; her nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her fiance: Tim Mills; her grandmother: Olliuis; a brother: John; and a cousin: Sierra.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. until a celebration of life at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at The Chapel at Victory Farms, 9299 Church Drive, in the Horine area. Following services, food and refreshments will be served at 28 Crosswinds Drive, in Arnold.
