Pooker Lindwedel, Priscilla

Priscilla Jean “Percy” Pooker Lindwedel, 96, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Antonia, died July 21, 2025, at Legend Senior Living in Fort Worth, Texas. Mrs. Lindwedel was baptized and confirmed in 1947 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Antonia. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was active in Ladies Aid, LWML, the Quilt Guild and made flower arrangements for the altar. She volunteered at Jefferson Memorial Hospital for 23 years, where she made hundreds of silk floral arrangements for the gift shop and helped visitors. She loved gardening and won many awards for her iris gardens and flower arrangements. She was a member of three Iris Clubs (local and national) and the Festus Garden Club. She enjoyed making quilts, sewing clothes, cooking, canning, butchering, playing pinochle and spending time with family. Born April 19, 1929, in Antonia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Christine (Schneider) Decke.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: Lorenz Pooker and Calvin Lindwedel.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda (Kirby) Thowe, Cheryl (Dan) Traub and Marcia (Joe) Reagan; eight grandchildren: Travis Thowe, Nikea (Curt) Hoksbergen, Tricia (Jonathan) Sublet, Wendy Spencer, Aaron Martin, Angie (Josh) Martin Nikitow, Jeremy Reagan and Brandon (Stephanie) Reagan; ten great-grandchildren: Hayley Thowe, Grant Thowe, Ty (Makyla) Hoksbergen, Larin Hoksbergen, Brenn Hoksbergen, Claudette Sublet, Silas Sublet, Tobias Sublet, Landon Nikitow, and Beckham Nikitow; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother: George Decke; and two sisters: Margaret Lony and Emma Wohlbold.

Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Zion Lutheran Church, 9700 Zion Lutheran Church Road, in Hillsboro. Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
