Holt, Patricia

Patricia May (Chapman-Wagner) Holt, 91, of De Soto died Oct. 11, 2025. Mrs. Holt was known to have lived a life full of devotion, kindness and faith. She spent many years as a bus driver and catechism teacher for St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. In addition to being a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, she also was active in the Daughters of Isabella and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her commitment to her church and community, her generous spirit and open heart. Born Aug. 26, 1934, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Charles Chapman and Avera (Bressler) Chapman.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Delmar Thomas Holt.

She is survived by a son: Scott (Deeanna) Wagner of De Soto; a daughter: Rebecca (Mike) Harrison of Troy; a brother: Harold (Barb) Chapman of New York, N.Y.; three sisters: Charlene Wougamen of Illinois, Arlene Parto of De Soto and Alice Suitter of De Soto; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by two children: Steve (Mary) Wagner and Dianna (Robert) Boyer; five brothers: Charles, William, Robert, Russ and Ronald Chapman; two sisters: Mary Northcutt and Judith Jackson; and a brother-in-law: Jerry Wougamen.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home, officiated by Father Rodger Fleming. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
