Patricia A. Courtois, 83, of De Soto died Sept. 3, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Courtois was a homemaker and a secretary for Courtois Construction. Born Jan. 9, 1943, in Yazoo, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Vivrett) Wilson and William Pashia. She was the stepdaughter of the late John Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Melvin “Bob” Courtois Jr.
She is survived by four daughters: Michelle (Chris) Armbruster of Glenwood, Shonda (Chris) Gau of De Soto, Krislyn (Jerry) Craig of De Soto and Taralyn (Matt) Hardin of De Soto; two siblings: Carolyn (Denny Welch) Wilson of Camdenton and Tammy Wilson of De Soto; nine grandchildren: Kyle (Jessica) Armbruster, Kaileb (Emily) Armbruster, Kelbi (Dylan) Mueller, Dakota (Mackenzie) Gau, Gabby (Dominic Minehart) Gau, Jacob Craig, Hope (Luke) Dawson, Maddilyn Hardin and Trevor Hardin; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild on-the-way.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: William Pashia Jr. and Donald “Cotton” (Mary) Wilson; a sister: Barb Lewis; and her aunt: Ethel Vivrett.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Rick Pirtle. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
