Larry “Mike” Mouser, 73, of Hillsboro died July 12, 2026, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Mouser was a member of IBEW Local 1 and worked as an electrician for Metropolitan Electric. He was a member of Good News Community Church and Boy Scouts Troop 894. He enjoyed traveling in an RV, camping on the Black River, being involved with Boy Scouts, hunting, fishing and telling stories. Born May 2, 1953, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Norma (Mann) and Charles Mouser.
He is survived by his wife: Linda (Hoemann) Mouser; a son: Joe (Samantha) Mouser of Festus; a daughter: Sara (Dan) Auer of Hillsboro; and four grandchildren: Brooke Auer, Luke Auer, Eli Mouser and Henry Mouser.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Marcus Memorial Park in Fredericktown. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
