Kathy (Dierker) Chitwood, 73, of Hillsboro died April 5, 2024, in St. Louis. Ms. Chitwood loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings and attending activities for her numerous grandchildren. She also volunteered her time at the Hillsboro Food Pantry. Born on Sept. 23, 1950, in St. Louis, She was the daughter of Audrey Dierker and the late Edgar Dierker.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by five children: James (Sheri Dillow) Gross, Randy (Lori Raines) Gross, Derek Gross, LeAnn (Robert) Pechman and Rebecca (Adam) Eder; 13 grandchildren: Cody Gross, Ashley Gross, Payton Gross, Zach Pechman, Carter Raines, Hunter Gross, Tyler Gross, Colin Raines, Duncan Gross, Chase Pechman, Maxwell Eder, Kira Gross and Lux Eder; two great-grandchildren: Everleigh Bach and Jovani Panzau; three sisters: Susan (John) Huesling, Margaret (Peggy) Dierker and Mary (Tom) Steel; and three brothers: Timothy (Cecelia) Dierker, Matthew (Sharon) Dierker and Mark (Michelle) Dierker.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Darin Dierker.
A private funeral Mass and celebration of life will be held on a later date. Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Kirkwood.
