Westfall, Judith 'Judy'

Judith L. “Judy” Westfall, 84, of Hillsboro died February 25, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Westfall was a farmer for much of her life and was known as a woman who wore many hats. She worked as an administrative assistant for Jefferson College, from which she retired. She later drove commercial buses for Huskey Bus Services and school buses for Grandview School, eventually retiring again. She loved travel and adventure, especially when it meant climbing into a motor home to head down the open road; she treasured the friends and memories made along the way. Her faith in Jesus Christ guided her decisions and shaped her character. Also known as a wonderful cook, she enjoyed preparing hearty meals and inviting others to sit at her table. She will be remembered for being a loving family member, a loyal friend and for her strength, hard work and hospitality. Born Feb. 22, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late William Chester and Ruth Edna (Long) Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her husband: James Franklin Westfall.

She is survived by her friend and “daughter”: Stephanie Votrain; a daughter-in-law: Penny Westfall; two granddaughters: Meckenzie Westfall and Whitney (Sam) Stephenson; two great-granddaughters: Brie and Brooke; a brother: Doug (Pam) Montgomery; and a host of neighbors and friends who she considered family.

She also was preceded in death by two sons: Robert “Bob” Westfall and Bryan Lee Westfall; and a sister: Bette (Lawrence) Drinen.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Saturday, March 7, at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church, 11441 Ware Church Road, in Hillsboro, 63050. Interment will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Ware. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church or Jefferson County Cattlemen’s Association, 3825 Sandy Church Road, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
