James Denny “Jimmy" Evans, 59, of Hillsboro died Aug. 31, 2026. Mr. Evans grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from high school in 1985. He loved spending time and making memories with his wife, family and friends. Born Jan. 20, 1967, in Festus, he was the son of the late Edwin “Eddie” and Hazel (Ems) Evans.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Tamara “Tammy” (Behnen) Evans; four children: Justin (Katlyn) Evans, Kayla Evans, Hannah (Caleb) Keim and Amanda (Bradley Willis) Evans; three grandchildren: Jackson Evans, Kallen Evans and Emelia Keim; a sister: JoAnn (Lee) Enloe; two brothers: Edwin “Buddy” (Sherry) Evans and Roland (Laura) Evans; 14 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Gregory Evans; and many other family members and close friends.
