Crump, Harold

Harold Delayne Crump, 84, of Herculaneum died March 4, 2026, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Crump was a truck driver for Wil-mix Concrete. He enjoyed fishing, going to White Castle for breakfast and lunch and spending time with his family. Born Sept. 30, 1941, in Corning, Ark., he was the son of the late Geneva (Stormes) and Harold Crump.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Lola May (Jennings) Crump.

He is survived by a daughter: Beverly (John) Ilg of Festus; two sons: John Steve Griffith of Festus and Robbie Crump of Arkansas; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicklaus and Jamie (Ricky); four great-grandchildren: Josh, Drew, Keaton and Palmer; a great great-grandchild: Kylie; three siblings: Steve (Gina) Crump, Billy (Sherry) Crump and Sheila Hammett; and a special friend: Loretta Swanguarim of Desloge.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Paula; a granddaughter: Angie; five siblings: Rose Mary Dickinson, Larry (the late Betty) Crump, Phil Crump, Alan (Sharon survives) Crump and Terry Crump. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. today, March 9, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by the Rev. Vicky Michaels, Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City. Burial will be in Herculaneum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
