Labruyere, Gerald

Gerald Owen Labruyere II, 29, of Imperial died Aug. 28, 2026. Mr. Labruyere worked as a mechanic for the Branson Coaster in Branson before returning home to Imperial. He enjoyed keeping busy, especially working with his hands and figuring out how things worked. He also enjoyed staying active, taking on projects and making the most of the time he had with the people around him. He had a love for life and for spending time with his family and friends, creating many memories. Born April 13, 1997, in St. Louis, he was the son of Christina Renee Ross of Imperial and the late Jeffrey Owen Labruyere.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his second father: Robert Lee Ross of Imperial; a son: Jayden Owen Labruyere of Branson; a brother: LaRod Ross of East Saint Louis, Ill.; two sisters: Paige Renee Mooney of Pevely and Bridgitte Marrie Labruyere of Imperial; nephews: Weston Lee Reaves-Bartlett of Pevely and LaRod "JR" Ross of East St. Louis, Ill.; his grandmother: Theresa Diane Coleman of Pevely; his grandfathers: Gerald Owen Labruyere of Imperial and Danny Lee Guy of Crystal City; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: JoAnn Katherine Labruyere.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Memorials may be made to Mothers Against Drug Addiction & Deaths at madaad.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
