Juncker, Frederick 'Fred'

Frederick Ray “Fred” Juncker, 82, of Festus died Oct. 4, 2025, in St. Peters. Mr. Juncker was a 1962 Festus High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Army for three years, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood and later with the 5th Army in France. Following his honorable discharge, he married his wife on July 24, 1967. Mr. Juncker worked as a chemical operator for Monsanto and United Nuclear, retiring in 2002. In his retirement, he enjoyed delving into family genealogy, restoring antiques, oil painting and glass work. He was known as a man of many talents and interests. He loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter. He took pride in his granddaughter’s academic and athletic achievements, specifically her graduating magna cum laude from Missouri State University's Nursing Program; referring to her as "his little doctor." He will be remembered for his storytelling, warmth and love. Born July 1, 1943, in Festus, he was the son of the late Virginia Mae (Skaggs) Juncker and Frederick Eugene Juncker.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Anna Belle Juncker.

He is survived by a son: Michael (Susan) of Pearland, Texas; and a granddaughter: Madison Juncker of Springfield.

He also was preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Juncker; a sister: Caroline Juncker-Schulte; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at noon Monday, Nov. 10, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Randy Gray. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Memorials may be made to Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, in Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
